Bladder infection

any good home remedies tht might help…

Re: Bladder infection

lots of cranberry juice (if ur in America) even the doctors tell you this.

Re: Bladder infection

yep, cranberry juice

In UK we seem to only get cranberry juice drink(sugar an water added, juice content can be as low as 6%)
choose the one with the highest just content and add to large glass of water (half and half
and drink as much as you can throughout the day

or just drink the juice and then water

but about 8 glasses water/ juice

there are other things like boiling barley and drinking the water with a squeeze of lemon in it but cranberry seems to woork better

you can get cranberry pills from Holland and Barret, althoughI dont know how effective they are.

Re: Bladder infection

out of curiosity, why are cranberries good for it?

Re: Bladder infection

they are a diuretic (my spelling is atrocious, sry if it is wrong) in other words

makes you pee a lot....... flushes out ur system

Re: Bladder infection

cranberry juice stops the infection from "hanging onto" (sorry cant think of a technical term)the sides of the bladder walla and then it gets washed away because it is also a diuretic...the water helps with the washing out.

Re: Bladder infection

im not sure if cranberry's are diuretic, I'd thought they make your urine more acidic, thus killing the bacteria
