I was wondering if anyone on this forum had experienced a blackout during an anger fit. One of my friends probably had one yesterday & he can’t really remember if he had thrown something at his door or how he might have written something without some will.
How much damage such blackouts can cause to the person and surroundings?
Is there a way to treat it immediately?
I can't say anything about your friend's case. But, I have heard of similar condition. I don't know if this condition is medically known as 'blackout'. In any case, he should seek medical help as soon as possible.
lazy_daisy, I don't know much either, but he said he is writing something, but don't know why and what he is writing. Yes, I might be involved somehow, but to know that, my friend must be cured as only he can tell.
Whimscal, in psychological terms, this condition is known as blackout (there is a mohawara in Urdu: "din mein taare nazar aana"). There surely will be some medical term for it too. Do you know of any solution?
Thanks Whimsical, I was not near my friend, otherwise I must have ensured that he gets a doctor as soon as possible. On the other hand he was not able to go by himself.
I checked it, and blackout is medically known as Temporary Loss Of Consciousness
(Fainting or Syncope).
What I still can’t understand is how a person can face blackout, just after reading something? Any help on this..
Till now I got good ideas, but they don't work in this situation. I asked doctors but they said they have not treated any distant patient. At least if you have known some cases, tell me how severe it can be. Doctors told me it can kill a person. I am worried.
Umer: Manifestation of syncope in a person does not necessarily mean that the person is in a life-threatning situation. There can be variety of different reasons. However, it is important to find out the underlying cause of syncope to make sure it is not a life-threatning issue. A thorough medical check-up is essential.
Thanks WitchDr. I am never near my friend when he is facing such a situation. He just reads something and then he don't know what he is writing or what he just read. Sometimes I guess he might have broken some window and then blamed someone else.
In normal situation a thorough medical check-up will just find him normal.
