Which one. Blackberry bold 9700? or a Blackberry 9000?

9700 is latest however has bugs etc. 9000 is the first bold, is tad bit bigger than 9700 but has a leather back cover, a better keyboard than the rest of the blackberries and looks so elegant!

They are clumsy. They are given to us from office. So I have to carry them when I am on call.

plus I think if email is such essential part, then I-phone is not a bad choice at all.

9700 has touch pad instead of a roller which is better, 9700 is faster (Software wise) has a few more options and has a 3.2 megapixel camera as compared to a 2MP with the 9000, having said that i still like the 9000 better but its personal preference due to the looks.
P.S in my opinion E71 was one of the best DATA DEVICES i owned and i am loving the BB now and hate IPHONE with a passion :k:

I have all three. Bold 9700, Bold 9000 and iPhone. I used 9700 for a few days and HATED it. Went back to my Bold 9000. Software is so not faster on the 9700. It has bugs etc when running O.S 5.0. It got stuck so many times for me too. It is smaller and much more lightweight than Bold 9000 and wth am I holding in my hand? NO PRESENCE WHAT SO EVER. Plus 9700 looks so much like curve 8900. Why would I wanna spend 2700 dirhams to get something which looks exactly like a cheapo Curve?
Bold 9000 looks different, the WHITE one looks so elegant. Has a leather back, has a presence in your hand, the bigger screen makes it easier for web browsing etc and the keyboard is the best one out there out of all the other Blackberries. If you wanna get a Blackberry, get a 9000. Oh and did I mention, at least here in Dubai Bold 9000 has the most accessories available. I even have an Ed Hardly tattoo faceplate for mine.
Oh and did I mention, the battery life on the 9000 is much better than the 9700.
As for the roller ball compared to the touch pad thing goes, personally for me it does not make any difference at all so I dunno what the hoopla is all about.

Aisha, I agree with everything you said, but the roller ball after a while gets stuck and since its a moving part u will have to get it replaced, however the touch pad has no such issues. Personally 9000 is a much better phone, but thats a personal opinion :k:
P.S 8900 is not cheapo cuz i got dat

Well am sure the replacement won’t cost that much.. Problem with the touch pad is that stuff get’s jammed in to the sides. Oops sorry, even my mum uses Curve 8900.
stop following the herd, forget BB or nokia and try this classy one for a change

Omg me too! Eww they look so cheap with their shiny metal body/casings. Plus it is obvious who is copying who. I don’t like things which are copied ideas from something else.

9700 is better:
- Trackpad (optical) instead of a mechanical fault prone ball
- Better battery, RIM managed to add an extra 1.5 hours on the 9700
- Better camera
- More compact
- Faster on OS 5… the 9000 gets the clocker pretty frequently…
