Which one do you geek fested people think would be the top 3rd smart phone, windows or Blackberry?
Researcher in Motion (makers of Blackberry) is claiming BB to take the 3rd spot in near future.

I think the Windows 8 phone.
I've never liked BBs and never will. Tell me some key features of both.

I dont know much about the Windows phone. I heard that Blackberry is very strong in Data Encryption and that is why a phone of choice for many corporations.

The Windows Phone:
- turn by turn navigation system
- a secure wallet system
- live customizable tiles
- will share the "common core" of software with Windows 8
- NFC
- Better business support

Though I am not against technology but I think these gadgets aren't healthy esp for brain cells,eyes. It is OK to use them in case of emergency.

I don't know much about either but never liked BBs. Most people with BBs have switched out or will be.

I'm in the Windows side too. Microsoft is setting up a whole echo-system. Soon we will all be using Windows 8 with Metro on the desktop and laptops and... and... PHONESSSS
It may not have have the same features or applications but it would be very known UI and thereby easy to use.
So Windows.

I'm currently using a Windows 7 phone and so far I have been positively surprised. I have used iOS (iPhone) and Android (on a crappy HTC) in the past, never used BB though.

Yeah, the news probably was the Yahoo is getting rid of BBs, and replacing with the users choice of Android, iPhone or Windows phones.
RIP -> Blackberry (there goes a few million forced users)

I was a loyal user of BB few years ago. I must tell you that if you are more in emails and txting and less in browsing web and videos kind of stuff, nothing can beat blackberry. Evn to this day, blackberry is the only phone that does not require both hands when you are typing a quick message

TLK, I've heard a lot of people say that about the BB...my sister, for example, had a BB from work and loved the email syncing feature. Then she got a Samsung Galaxy 2 and realized that she was "boxed" in with her BB. There wasn't much more opportunity in it. Anyway, I do remember using your red BB curve a few times, and for someone like me who's pretty good at keyboarding, I thought it was the most non-ergonomic design. But that's just me. There's a huge group of folks out there who still love that phone.

I am not sure why you thought that it was not ergonomically good keyboard. I really liked it. Because of the physical keys. once you have a good handle on your curve, you could actually type a small msg without even looking at your phone. When it comes to email syncing, you know that I have 3-4 accounts, and no phone till now can beat BB (at least in my opinion) when it comes to email mgmt.
I know that BB has lots of weaknesses too, like its browser and camera sucks. IT does not have much of app support. Its not a good Mp3 player. But for a phone that you need in pure office environment (calendar, email, task), BB is pretty strong - and simple to use.

best of the worst options, hmm. blackberry is bad. if you don't have blackberry data plan thru your carrier. you can't reciveve emails excpet the coroprate things. i mean c'mon blackberry. i have used windows phone it's kind of limted to. but tofi bhaiyya is right. they are copying apple. creating windows 9 and windows phone to be same. hey that phone looks like windows. windows is still few years behind. steve " pit stains" ballmer never believed in smart phones, but know he has no other options. he never belived iPhone be success.

My Google phone had a better keyboard layout. 
I have 10 email accounts synced with my S3. Never have any issues. What I like is that I can personalize my outgoing signatures for each email.
But anyway, I guess it’s about what one feels comfortable with. I don’t think I could go back to using my Google phone now, thought it was my first love.

but camera and browser are important now a days. most corporate's have switched over to iphone because of miscrosoft exchange e-mails. blackberry is not that safe actually. i read an artice where hacker's easily hacked into BB. ill find an article and post it here.

I hate BB, disliked it from the day first. My mate has got bb , he always complains about this phone, I have been telling him to throw it in a bin.
