Re: Blackberry messenger

At my company, it is all iphones for the people that are in the loop. Frankly, I am surprised some arab sheikh hasn't bought them considering they can buy that wax museum in London because BB is very 'in' in the middle east. It is pretty much a useless company in the western world and I think that any void left can be filled by someone else. Google can offer some niche 'iphone' type device (updated regularly etc) or if windows phone makes it pitch right, it can very much fill the void as I haven't seen many malware for it compared to the much maligned Android versions.

Re: Blackberry messenger

Even at the enterprise level they are losing their stream, nowadays its bring your smartphone strategy in almost all the corporate i know here.

Arabs loves their gold iPhones and Galaxies now, And BBM is replaced with Whatsapp. I dont think that any company will buy BB for its hardware division, may be for the softwares and patents, my bet is on emerging Chinese players like Xiaomi, Meizu or even the big players like ZTE, Huewei to get into the western world.

Re: Blackberry messenger

whatsapp has had its security problems since its inception.

Re: Blackberry messenger

And what unique advantage will there be of using BBM versus say...iMessage, or Skype, or Whatsapp, or other default message utilities that come on non-BB phones?
