As a guest, I have worn a black saree before to a wedding. I’ve seen others in black too … it’s no biggie.
As for the bride herself wearing black … I don’t think it would look that great.

Black is a nice color, but when there billions of other colors then why the heck you (a bride) want to wear a color that is considered a symbol loss, sadness, death, mourning, etc etc…

Go for bright colours on ur wedding... black is so normal and so common with other outfits.. u should be all pretty and bright on ur wedding day..

my mums got me this really nice black suit for after the wedding as well.. i cant wait to wear it!

i dont get why people take black to be so 'deadly' .. i mean come on .. in india they wear white as a 'death' color ... fortunetly in Islam there is no forbidden color except that guys dont wear girls colors and vice versa .. black is totally fine to wear and if i see a decent black dress i'd take it for my wedding .. but i like red better .. hehe
