Alhtough, I think they have a skewed view point themselves. But then who doesn't? Its really an attempt to attain balance of power in the asian and middle eastern region through a better control of media. If you look at it, other than Al-jazeera which is now nothing but Al-muta'adila (the neutral) now since they came under fire for al-ka-ee-da ties, or the US and Uk based channels or Indian ones.
Still, I think this claim has some weight and strength in it. Why are we going to be immediately labeled as conspiracy theorists, if we take the very basic premise into consideration that "the US" and its business cartels from wallstreet have an interest in de-stablizing this region?
And the only place they can do it is Afghanistan, Pakistan, and central asian republics. Afghanistan is too tough of a region, but everywhere else they can and probably have penetrated.
The CIA has always ran covert missions around the world and for that they have and will continue to rely on contractor/spy agencies since they have too many obstacles themselves to overcome, namely cost, presidential and NSC clearances, and world diplomacy at stake. Its easier to hire a contracted assault team and then walk away with clean hands by saying "we had no hand in it". Why not?! Its been done before.
