Buddy, I live eat and breathe heavy metal. This is by far spookier than any Cannibal Corpse album cover. Gore covers are laughable.

Not really, Eddie isn't scary at all, he's just a mascot which is portrayed in different themes on each Maiden album, many times in a humerous fashion. This Sabbath album created heavy metal single handedly, and set the mood for it completely from the album cover, all the way down to each second of music. It's a dark cover I find, and song "Black Sabbath" is one of the darkest songs in metal history. Marilyn Manson hasn't done anything which Alice Cooper hasn't done over 30 years ago.
