Hello,
I am looking for a black men’s Sherwani, for a member of the bride’s family. Can you please let me know of cost. Don’t want to spend a ton of money on it.

Re: Black Men's Sherwani
what amount of kaam are you expecting on it?
Re: Black Men's Sherwani
Not too crazy kinda basic. Actually never shopped for men's desi clothes before....
Re: Black Men's Sherwani
Hmm, I've been told by a friend stitching alone is 4500 if you get it done by Wazir Tailors in Islamabad, Pakistan.
There are a couple of well-known men’s stores/designers that have websites. Deepak Perwani, Amir Adnan and I think Junaid Jamshaid also does sherwanis. They have an amazing selection, but I suspect (since I’ve no personal experience) that they are pretty expensive.
I can’t speak to an online buying experience from this store - but when we were in Karachi we shopped at Rivaj for men’s shalwar kameez and the store owner was really nice. It’s a small store in the Tariq Road kurta gali area but he has a website and I’m pretty sure he’d be cheaper than the designers I’ve noted above.
I think it may be worth a call just to price him out and to see if you’re comfortable with him.
Re: Black Men's Sherwani
Thanks so much for the link. Well I am OK with up to 6,000 PK RS. I can find them for about $90 in Jackson heights but they are very "bollywood" looking. I'd like a nice clean traditional classical garment not too much embellishments. There is absolutely no way for me to get it from PK though. But thank so much for the Rivaj link. I saw a black one on it that might be perfect now to see if they deliver.

We had all of 2 days in Karachi for visiting and shopping and my sister was on a mission - she wanted nice shalwar kameez suits for her son and husband. When we explained we didn't have time for custom orders - he indicated that he could ship to the US/UK/Canada and he actually implied that even custom orders could be completed in a week/ten days.
I have no idea how much a sherwani will cost - but lightly embroidered shalwar kameez, some with resham, some with zari was in the 1500 - 2200 rps range.
Re: Black Men's Sherwani
Thanks. Well I don't think I am attracting any of the Guppie Vendors :( there just ins't enough variety for men's clothing! But like I said I can't get the stuff from Pakistan I need it in a couple of weeks.
Re: Black Men's Sherwani
a couple of weeks wont be enough for a custom made one until someone has his OWN men's tailor/karigar to work on it urgently.maybe a readymade one that looks closest to what you want helps?but 6000rs range is not enough for it.i guess ATLEAST 10-12k should do it better.
Re: Black Men's Sherwani
Hi What's the value of the RS now a days? I'd be willing to pay up to $150 (that's 12000 rs if doing a 80 rs $) for quality products. I mean now a days on sale you can find a nice suit for that due to recession sales.....
also do you know anywhere I can get this and for how much?
