is there a way to find out if someone has done black magic on you?

I read something about getting some strings and tying knots and reading some dua but i don’t remember where I read it and what exactly your suppose to do!

does anyone know…?

Black magic is haram in islam, so one cannot perform black magic to counter black magic. If you really suspect it, then find some well read scholar and discuss it with him perhaps.

What is one thing which makes one differentiate between black magic symptoms and those which are caused by some mental/physical disorder?

From what I've been told it's not always possible to find out if it's been done on you or your beloved ones, or who has done this awful thing to you. Because getting involved in black magic is haram. I was told that you can't even try to find out who did it to you if it has been confirmed that you are a jadoo victim.

Someone else said, some people can find out, but won't tell the victim out of fear of murder or something?

I don't know. I guess the best thing is to let it go, read all the right surahs and leave it to Allah. If it is any comfort to you, the person using black magic against oters will insha Allah never be happy and burn in hell. In the end, it will insha Allah be of no use to him/her.
