Black Magic

how come that after the industrial and scientific revolution, black magic completely disappeared from the Western countries....and nowadays only exists in the most unscientific and poorest of societies?

:rotfl: that has to be the most ridiculous thing I ever heard .

Actually, you'll be suprised. It still lurks. Are we forgetting satanic cults?

Those kids in those childish cults only think they're performing black magic, trying to conjure spirits with their ouija board purchased from Toys R Us. They make me laugh.

Never been to Satanic cult session, but I have done much research on the subject. Most of what you'll see are a bunch of dorks who have been watching too many movies.

Real "Satanism" has nothing to do with Satan or God. They don't beleive in either. They use the term "Satan" in refernce to individual empowerment, not a half goat, half man with a pitchfork and horns.

In that case, well, there is some freaky stuff that doesn't make sense in accordance to your research. Again, thats only what I've seen. Who knows it may just be a bag of tricks, you never know.

So, if someone has black magic performed on them, how do you have the evil magic cast off?
[/QUOTE]

mehnaz, there are fakirs and tantrics who specialise in casting off evil.

I believe in black magic but I know it can't affect the mentally and spiritually strong. I remember reading this true story of a christian priest on one of these Haitian islands. The local voodoo chap took a dislike to the priest and one night sent all the ghouls he could muster to finish off the priest. The priest heard the awful howling around the church and locked the doors, sat down and prayed all night. After a few hours the noise stopped. In the morning the voodoo doc was found deader than dead. Serves him right too.

Quran
2:101 And when there came to them an apostle from Allah, confirming what was with them, a party of the people of the Book threw away the Book of Allah behind their backs, as if (it had been something) they did not know!

2:102 And follow that which the devils falsely related against the kingdom of Solomon. Solomon disbelieved not; but the devils disbelieved, teaching mankind magic and that which was revealed to the two angels in Babel, Harut and Marut. Nor did they (the two angels) teach it to anyone till they had said: We are only a temptation, therefore disbelieve not (in the guidance of Allah). And from these two (angels) people learn that by which they cause division between man and wife; but they injure thereby no one save by Allah's leave. And they learn that which harmeth them and profiteth them not. And surely they do know that he who trafficketh therein will have no (happy) portion in the Hereafter; and surely evil is the price for which they sell their souls, if they but knew.

From the above verses
Magic was sent down with the Angels Harut and Marut as a test.
It has been in existence ever since.
It is not necessarily done with reading the Quran Backwards.

The jinns are of all faiths like us.
And the jinns are the ones who understand magic.
The above verse mentions that they taught men.
Thus any person of any faith who knows jinn can use
them to learn or perform magic.

those are encompassed in the 'most unscientific of countries'

let's consider this: if all this Shamaan-stuff and magic voodoo thing exists, how come noone in Pakistan asks one of those Copperfields to perform magic on their enemies, like Bush or Blair? Clearly, they aren't immune to that are they?

Beats me :konfused:

nes: just to be the devils advocate, how do u know bush n blair and whoever else don't use that to their advantage either :)

i used to believe there was no such thing as magic
but i learnt that in islam we believe in it but dont practice it, just like we believe in the Ghaeeb (unseen)

besides those ppl are cursed who practice it, so i wouldnt be surprised if they werent living a 5 star lifestyle

because the odds are that they are less likely to be believers in medieval practices than the average desi jadoogar

don’t tell me, all the tanks and fighter jets just appeared out of the blue in Afghanistan and Iraq due to their magic :hehe:

I’d like to hear Muslim_Queen’s answer to this :~)
