If your primary focus is multimedia, music, ringtones etc etc, then don't waste time with Blackberry. Behind the red color and some media-friendly features on 8130, it is still a serious email/work device. Go with a phone that specializes in multimedia, be it Sony, or Nokia or iPhone, whatever. Ofcourse, if keeping in touch is important for you, and you can't stay away from email, then go with this BB.
Re: Sprint, its going down. Its network is still good, but the company is incurring losses. Plus their technology binds you to them. If you want a more open technology cell phone carrier, go with AT&T or T-Mobile. Both offer GSM, which is a lot more open and transferrable than either Spring or Verizon. But if you are getting good reception and are happy with the price/features of the phone, then keep Sprint, at least, as long as the Company is around.
