I read this article online somewhere by someone… And I know the Prophet wasn’t racist agianst blacks, But I want to know if these passages are in the Sahih Bukhari, or other Books mentioned. And want some clearification on them.

The Prophet (pbuh) used the term "negro"? Unh...no. I don't think so.

Sounds like a botched attempt at a translation. Romans have been described as "Red like lizards", and Africans as rasin-coloured. No implication beyond colour was implied.

Has anyone ever seen the complete Sahih Moslem hadith? Can't find it anywhere.

These guys need to get a life.

bilal (ra) was an african slave, one of the closes companions of the Prophet (saw)....
about whom the Prophet (saw) said that when he went on miraaj he heard bilal's footsteps ahead of his own in paradise....

only someone totally ignorant of islamic history will accuse Muhammad [saw] of racsim towards africans ....there are way too many examples to refute such claims ...immigatration to ethopia is a big one , dont think the sahaba would have sought refuge there if they were so racist as this article makes us believe

secondly a major cause of tribal oppostion towards prophet was because he put the african slaves at par with the nobles of quraish this was unacceptable to the racist NONMUSLIM arabs .....

at the time of pious caliphate we see the same pattern muhammad ibn hannifiyah [ra] son of Ammerul momineen Ali [as] had a black mother
one of umar[ra] closest friend salim mawla abihudhayfa[ra] was a slave of persian descent.

it was only when the latter dynasties starting with ummayyads who converted Islam as a tool of imperial domination when racism was perpetuated in the name of Islam against blacks and persians .....that is why we see the zanj revolt against the abbasids and mawalis [persian] participation in revolts against the ummayyads

regarding "Muhammad as a white man" why is that bad? is it a sin to be a white man?

MLK he is just a pious figurehead used by the liberals .... a 2 bit preacher who was made into martyr because a nutcase racist killed him

Can someone look at the actual sources and refute them one by one... Did the prophet not say these things? Was he misquoted or misinterpreted?

he indeed was atleast partly african , so were many other companions of humble origins

lets not get into the sahih versus dhaif argument cuz there is no end to it

the author of this article is using the traditional arab racisim against nonarabs as the basis of his argument...what he fails to mention is that this very trait that Prophet[saw] tried hard to stamp out amongst his followers [and was successful to a large extent]

How that carries a racist connotation (i.e. obey your chief, even if he’s black) is beyond me. For all we know, our calling “black” people “black” could very well be a very horrible thing with respect to another language…of course, we don’t mean anything by it except to physically describe the skin.

Like I said, these idiots need to get a life.

So yes, misquoted and misrepresented.

^ only those who are insecure about being called black will consider it terrible or those who in the past have themselves exploited people by it
