My mom’s a biryani expert so I asked her and she said they both are real, it just depends on the variant. I guess case closed.

**Biryani aik type ki tou hoti nae…
Hyderabadi biryani, Sindhi biryani, Punjab side ki biryani etc…
Sb k ingredients mein aur pkaney k tareeqe mein kch na kch farq hota hai…
I think ppl from Punjab mostly add potatoes in their biryani n it tastes good too.
