^ exactly. I believe birthdays to be more of a small family gathering where one can celebrate and be grateful for a good, happy year for that person. But don’t believe in people going OTT.

But also there are people who take as a little birthday celebration to be completely wrong too, which doesn’t make sense either

Someone we know believe that celebrating birthdays are wrong. Sometimes they’ll get a cake for their children’s birthdays but wont put candles on it. They wont give their kids any gifts on their birthdays etc .. I don’t get it but to each their own.
