Birthday Party Dress Code For Children....Rockstar attire

Why oh why do people do this now??? For a 1 year olds birthday?? Seriously???

Whatever happened to pin-the-tail on the donkey & a pinata?? Everything is such a production now…

So wth does “rock star attire” mean? How should I dress my boys?

And yes, this a pakistani family/dawat…

Grrr…

Re: Birthday Party Dress Code For Children....Rockstar attire

If it's for a 1yo, it's really just for the adults.

Have fun and dress up! wild colored hair, ripped t-shirts and all that :D

Re: Birthday Party Dress Code For Children....Rockstar attire

How cool! Although weird for a 1 year olds party.

Im thinking eyeliner, black nails, skulls, inflatable guitars and really cool wigs.

Re: Birthday Party Dress Code For Children....Rockstar attire

Nope, the dress code is for the kids!!! Here's the exact wording on the evite:

**Party Like A Rock Star!!!

**Shake, Rattle, and Roll as we celebrate ______________ Rockstar Birthday Party!
*

***Dress Code
: Children (Rockstar attire), Ladies (Desi Formal), Gents (Whatever they please!)

Help!!! Oh, and it's at 1 pm.....an afternoon party...

Re: Birthday Party Dress Code For Children…Rockstar attire

Hattori-san…NOT!!!

I was thinking for Thing #2 to put him in his grey skinny jeans & get him a purple hoodie and skull cap and voila…he’s Justin Bieber…lol!!!

I saw some cute replica vintage concert t-shirts at Old Navy…that with jeans and maybe a black vest over it? And some chunky bracelet/cuffs???

:hmmm:

Re: Birthday Party Dress Code For Children....Rockstar attire

Justin Beiber is rock? I thought he was a girl :/

To me 'rock star' is Black Sabbath or Bon Jovi. Leather jackets, black, big hair or shaved head.

Re: Birthday Party Dress Code For Children....Rockstar attire

:D

Re: Birthday Party Dress Code For Children....Rockstar attire

IMO totally over the top for 1 year old.

Maybe appropriate 5-7 years would have more fun with this theme.

Just jel their hair and hand them a toy guitar and enjoy the dawat :@:

Re: Birthday Party Dress Code For Children....Rockstar attire

Please do it! You have two kids so it's perfect!

P.S you know when you call your kids Thing1 and Thing2, reminds of world book day where 2 girls in my school who were sisters, they dressed up as Thing1 and Thing2, none of my British kids got it, but I LOVED their costumes. They looked awesome. I had to read a lot of Dr. Seuss after that so my kids understood the legend that is Dr. Seuss.

Re: Birthday Party Dress Code For Children…Rockstar attire

This was literary day at school last year…bahahhahaaaa!!!

But what about The Boy?? Don’t forget, I have a third one too (the eldest)!

(please don’t quote the pic guys! i’ll be editing this one out soon probably…thanks!)

Re: Birthday Party Dress Code For Children....Rockstar attire

^ LOVE IT!!

I miss dressing up for world book day, my current school sucks! We've only ever dressed in our jimjams for Children in Need day.

I was queen of hearts one year and even drew a heart on my lips in red lipstick, but the Autistic boy in my class didnt like it and kept rubbing it off :(

I lied! Last summer my year group did 'Around the world' day and each classroom was a different country. My classroom was Hawaii and I wore a grass skirt with a flower garland and I even bought an inflatable palm tree and Hawaiian party deco for my classroom. That was the best day ever.
