I’m invited to a birthday party next weekend, the boy is turning 4.
I asked his mother point blank (we’ve been freinds since college so we’re cool) what I should get him, she said “nothing, I Honestly dont want anything for him, he has way too many toys.”
Now, is that hte standard parent answer? so as not to sound rude and say “yes he likes this this and this”
It's probably true, but if they're having a birthday party and haven't asked for charity donations, you should take something. Maybe something educational or artistic? Or outdoorsy?
honestly its true.... kids have way way way too many toys! and since she is an old friend i doubt she wouldnt tell you.. infact in a way she has already told you what she doesnt want .. toys :)
4 yr old boys... hmm... look into maybe a seasons card to the zoo or to an amusement park of some sort?
we just gave my 5 yrt old niece that cuz she doesnt play with toys and watches animal planet.. so a seasons pass to teh zoo was awesome (zoo admittance is kinda high here so it makes for a good gift, not a cheap one :D ).. but if the zoo admittance is like 2 dollars where u are.. then that wouldnt be a great gift.. hehe...
Initially i was gonna go with a gift card, but I dont want to be too cheap but I cant afford the next amount up, and the amount in between is kind of weird.
My best friend of almost 10 years has 2 little ones....2 and 4. Every year she gives me that same exact answer when I ask her what to get them. So every year, I give them gift cards.
If a particular store has exact "amounts" that you must choose from....you can also give them a general Visa or AMX gift card so you can choose the exact amount.
