i used to be a tomboy. and i still love all things geek. if someone got me a girly gadget i would be like WHAT THE FOG?? if you're gonna go with tech, get something serious and proper, if it comes in pink it's a bonus (if she likes that). personally pink tech makes me want to puke.

what sort of stuff is she in to? what does she already own? what's your budget?

i'm a gamer so if someone got me a console or games i'd be pretty happy. could get her a psp or DS.
in the unlikely even that she doesn't have a music player then an Ipod (personally Iwhatever pisses me off because of crappy apple software) but they have the cool factor. if she's really into her music then some fancy serious speakers or headphones (you can spend a lot on that kind of stuff!).
i like my keyboard and mouse to be fancy so i spend quite a bit of money on that sort of stuff. digital camera only if she likes taking photos.
oh, those tiny notebooks are pretty popular, like the ASUS Eee PC - haven't read reviews so dunno which brand/model is best.

How about an ipod (there are lots of things for music lovers for instance “Archos 5 60GB WiFi Touchscreen Portable Media Player”), or Nintendo DS/wii, Xbox, PSP .
Perhaps she’ll like a digital camera or a camcorder.

shes gettin an iphone, shes got ipod, shes got shuffle and the other oen engarved too...got a digi cam cus her bro got marid las yr, in their house they have psp, nintendo, xbox they jus got a wii for her lil bro!...
