can you do some artwork? Like make him a crochet mobile cover with his initials on it , its pretty easy as well.
I once crochet’d a cup cozy set for my husband . He used it a lot in cold wintry days when he had to carry his drink around at work .
I know you want to do something at home, but i have an idea which is other then that. you could do him a personalized picture travel mug , with a picture of you two together, kids or any other family members.

I am on a look out for a calligraphy design of any quranic ayah. Want to paint it myself . cant find it anywhere though
