Re: Birth Stories
I have been wanting to post my birth story for months but just not had the chance to do so.
I was due mid June and delivered 6 days after my due date. A few days before I delivered I had some signs of the labour process starting and slept very little those nights awaiting for something to happen but nothing happened.
Then on this beatiful Monday in June I started feeling contractions and had an appointment at the midwife so we went to the hopital for a checkup. She did a checkup and said that there was no opening yet but due to the contractions it seemed like something would start soon. This was about 1 in the afternnon. So we came home after sometime and were home around 3 in the afternoon. Just as we came home the contractions felt even stronger and I had to lie down for a while.
During all this the phone rang and hubby was told that the car we had been trying to sell for almost 7 months was now being sold and the customer was waiting for him to come and sign some papers. Hubby was in big dilemma and asked me what to do so I told him to go ahead but hurry back home as I felt that something was up. The car store is about 10 min from our home so he would be home within 40 min. These 40 min felt the longest 40 min of my life! I was litereally screaming cuz of the pain and the contractions and hubby wasnt home. and I had noone else around either.
I called the hospital and told them what was happening to me and was told to come rightaway so i called hubby and told him to hurry and in the meanwhile tried to sort the last packing. I had already packed some days ago so when hubby finally came home he helped with rest of the packing and we drove to the hospital rightaway. This was around 5 in the afternoon.
I broght a wet towel with me and had my forehead and eyes covered by it. it hepled a lot. cuz that way I couldt see how far we were from the hospital and it also helped cooling down.
The contractions felt even stronger and I litereally felt like the baby was coming out any minute. Hubby called the hospital and told them about this so the midwives were waiting outside the parking with a wheelchair and brought me up while hubby found a parking for the car.
Now it was 5.45 in the afternoon and the midwife checked me in the hospital ward. There was an opening of 6 cm which surpriced her a lot since there was no opening at all when I came in at |1 o clock...
We had planned for a waterbirth so I was helped into the water which was soooooo soothing!!the warm water was just so nice and helpful!but I was still in pain so I drank lots of zam zam water that I had broght from home. I didnt take any painkiller or anything else. just zam zam wather and the water I was lying in. Someone had told me that reciting Sura Waqia 7 times on water helps delivering faster and is less painful. I had done this on the zam zam water and started drinking it when the contractions began at home.
I was in the water for over an hour when my water broke. Ithad a greenish color so midwife said that the baby had pooed and I had to get out of the water and deliver in another ward...I ddint want to deliver somewhere else as I loved this private and cosy ward!!!!and luckily the minute I got out of the water I felt a huge pressure and told the midwife that I feel the head is coming out...so I lied on the bed, drank lots of zam zam and had some chocolate for energy as I hadnt eated anything besides a little pulao that day!!
So after some pushing, 2 and a half hours after I had come to the hospital, the baby came out at 8.30 in the evening. I literally forgot all the pain and asked my husband is it a boy or girl? and before he had the chance to respond I had checked myself and was telling both my husband and the midwives that its a boy:)
I still remember how beautiful he was!He had lots of dar hair and his drak eyes were just so beautiful!!!I hugged him carefully and tried nursing him without any luck. Midwife told me that I was bleeding too much due to some serious damage and had to go through some operation so I was sent to another ward. I was separated from my lovely son for almost 6 hours and was rather chocked over what had happened. the weeks after were tough but Alhamdulillah we are dong great. mashaAllah he is the most adorable baby I have ever seen and I just love him so much:D

Re: Birth Stories
my baby's birth story:
i had my routine checkup on thursday on 26th january 39 weeks 3 days pregnant n i found out that i was 1cm dilated....the day went well...next day i.e friday 27th january i was super active full of energy working n walkin here n there all day....at nite i felt so happy that m too much tired n now its time to get a goodnite sleep but i was wrong lol at 1 a.m i started to feel contractions...i couldnt sleep all nite...
28th january (39 weeks 5 days)in morning at 6 a.m i told my husband about the matter..we went straight to hospital as it was 15mins away frm our home....got myself checked n i was only 2cm....i was amazed!!n scared that with so much pain m only 2cm :/ the doc sent us back to home n told to wait more....we came home at 8 a.m....my husband wanted me to eat something he made breakfast but i couldnt swallow it...just took a cup of tea....tried to get some sleep but HOW!!!!!
At 11 a.m my contractions were 15 mins apart.....i was walking around in home as i couldnt sit or lie down....turned on the tv n got myself involved in the movie....that 1hour was very relaxing for my husband as i didnt complain much about the pain :p....at around 1:25 p.m i felt more stronger contractions n they were 5 mins apart...i told my husband n we went to hospital.....n it was such a relief to hear that i am 6cm now lol i wanted to get rid of the pain as soon as possible....
I got admitted to the delivery room at 2:45 p.m....n then the waiting game started...i was drinking mango juice after every 15mins for energy n wanted to get some sleep but the situation didnt let me.....
At 3:45 p.m i was 8cm n wanted to get an epidural as the pain was unbearable....but the doc said u r already 8 n there is less time for ur delivery to be done...dont take the epidural as it will delay ur labor n delivery duration.....i said fine i wont take it i just want to get rid of this pain....
At 4:20 p.m i was 10cm the doc broke my water n said u can push now.....n with Allah SWT blessings my cute little baby was lying on my chest at 6:40 p.m...
I think the doc made a great decision for me of not taking the medication n deliver naturally...otherwise i didnt have confidence in me....but i did it!!! now i realize that women r made to do this...we have to go through it (if not having any complications)its better to deliver in natural way...
P.S i ate n slept alot that night :D
