I didnt had any plan. Went through whole labour without epidural and she was stuck inside somewhere as I was pushing. Had c section. Had back labour. Hubby and mum rubbed back during whole labour, no plan works at that time. Ended up having male and female drs and a student as well.:(

^^^ I went through the exact same thing except they gave me epidural but I was still in a lot of pain. I always wonder when people say that epidural is heaven.. yes it did work for me for the lower part of my body but my back hurt like &%^&. It was so painful that my doctor requested a higer dose of epidural… I think rubbing the back works but I had no one to do it for me. I also had a forcep delivery (baby was stuck inside) so ummm a lot of students, residents and nurses wanted to see it 
because apparently its not so common so when soemone has it.. its a good way of learning

my birth plan is ready.. it's just one page with bullet points and I have tried to keep it very simple and direct in sections my birth wishes, after the baby is born, and in case of an emergency!
I had a conversation with my midwife too.. they dont give epidural until you are 5-6 cm unless and until absolutely necessary due to severe pain! She had seen me go through couple of gall stones attack during pregnancy and kept telling me that it wont be worse than that.. lets see how it goes!!!
Spiral.. were you asked before they invited all those students in? I hope they did!!! But yeah if it was me, I would have refused to allow them to see no matter how uncommon my delivery is!! and I think even my husband would not let them enter :D
ok now I need to pack my hospital bag!!!
