Please correct me if i am wrong but according to the knowledge i have, sunni’s belief that the Holy Prophet was born and died on the 12 of Rabiulawal, but what i have seen in Pakistan is that they celebrate his birth rather then mouning for the great loss of the ummah, from what i have seen so far is that when a person die we grief for him.
Muslims celebrate for the great enownment that Allah endowed onto us by sending prophet Muhammad..
Some sahaba' fainted with grief when they heard the news that Mohammad( PBUH) had passsed away. I don't see any reason to celebrate.
