Birth Control pills

Re: Birth Control pills

exactly. i was on Yasmin for 4 years and i never had any issues with it.

Re: Birth Control pills

These pills are not natural, I don't think it's essential that you take them.

Re: Birth Control pills

Neither are anti-hypertensives, maybe it's essential we don't take those either.

Re: Birth Control pills

Tell your husband to use some rubbers. Seriously, men should learn to use them rather than burdening their wives with the sole responsibility of birth control.

Re: Birth Control pills

Before starting birth controle pills u need to see a doctor who will check which pill is suitable for u. there are two types progestron only and progestron+estrogen mixed.

you have to take a pill for 7 straight days for it to start working (called the 7 days rules, there more to it).

you cant have or need to be careful with estrogen pills if u have a faimly history of breast cancer.

all these pills can cause spotting, irregular cycles , so its wise to start it 2-3 months in advance so you can adjust to it and see which one suits to better as each women reacts diffrently to them.

these pills are natural hormones.

advantage of combine pill is that it can make your periods regular, less heavy and less painful,it helps with acne/skin conditions.

Re: Birth Control pills

suggested time is 3 months for birth control options.

Re: Birth Control pills

There are over 40+ options for BC pills. Not all BC are created equal. Some have more progesterone, estrogen or testosterone.

Based on your gyno health, you need to choose the one that works well with you. People with PCOS need to consider ones tailored for them and their symptoms.

Although they are not natural, women have been taking BC for a long time and they are effective. They also let woman take care of Birth Control as they should because they are the one that is impacted if something doesn't work.

I found it less invasive than a IUD, or patch, once I found the RIGHT one. So talk to your GYN and tell them your concerns BEFORE. Don't just take the one that they prescribe and think that is your only option.

Re: Birth Control pills

and what would you suggest for birth control instead?
