birth control pill confusion

hi girls
ok so I have a general question
I have a 28 day pack in which 24 are active pills and 4 are just placebo pills…so my question is what if I don’t get my period after taking the last 4 pills then should I wait till my period starts and then continue on with the whole first sunday routine?

I did go to the doctor but I failed to clear this up since I was super nervous there

From what i understand this is your first time taking the pill.

You start taking the pill on the first day of your period and you just carry on taking one every day at the same time.

When you take the placebo ones you will have your 'period' or withdrawl bleed.

Then you just carry on.

Im confused about what your asking but i hope that cleared things up?

There should also be a leaflet in the box!

oh sorry about the confusion I realized that would happen
actually my doctor told me to do the first sunday method.....taking the pills the first sunday after my period right .....so my question is actually say if i don't get my period after the reminder pills what should I do?

again sorry for the confusion....i just suck at formulating questions when I am confused lol
thanks for the help though

Re: birth control pill confusion

so are you asking what if you dont get your period after taking all 28 what should you do?

yes !!
lemme edit the first post lol
yea it is my first time taking them

well you should actually get your period when you are taking the 4 placebo pills. It may be lighter than usual.

which pill are you on?

Loestrin Fe

Re: birth control pill confusion

yeah, you will get your bleed on the 4 placebo days.

The golden rule of this pill is do not miss any days!

Look at their website its really helpful!

Using the birth control pill Loestrin® 24 Fe (norethindrone acetate and ethinyl estradiol tablets, USP and ferrous fumarate tablets) — www.loestrin24.com
" When you finish a pack of Loestrin® 24 Fe, start the next pack on the day after your last brown “reminder” pill. Do not wait any days between packs. "

Can i just ask…was this your doctors first choice?

yes it was her first choice actually ....why?

hmm the part about taking the pills right after that you posted , wouldn't that apply to the people who start taking the pill the first day of their period instead of the first sunday? i don't know what my doctor told me to do the sunday method

It would still apply to the sunday method im pretty sure...but you should double check....using the website or ringing up your doctor!

Im asking if it was her first choice as it is one of the more confusing ones to use with two different methods of use!( if your using it for birth control) but i guess its not rocket science! im guessing your not in the UK as a different pill is usually first choice here.

yeah I'll just call her I guess
yeah I don't live in the UK :)
thanks for your help though!!
