I’m getting married in two months and we’ve decided to wait for about 2 years. I was looking up options for birth control and the patch seems to be the most convenient. Wanted to hear from anyone who has used it, is it less hassle than the pill? When should I go in for my evaluation and how long before the wedding should I start using it?

go see your doctor now. you should give it at least two cycles. what you think is convenient for you at first might not and/or you may not respond well to it.
you should give it a couple of months at least to test it out and get used to taking it.

Work with your ob/gyn on figuring out the best option for you. Every woman is different and a solution that is perfect for one woman can be a nightmare for another. Do yourself a favor and ask a professional for help so they can get your history and work with you to find the right answer for YOU. You will get a dozen different right answers when you ask a random sample of women on GS.

Birth control patch?
I know every woman is different and I’ll obviously need to be evaluated before I’m prescribed a birth control. My question was about the ‘type’ of birth control since I know this is purely a choice. Whether a patch is more convenient than the pill?
I know I’ll have some trouble takin the pill everyday around the same time. But reading up some of the reviews on the patch and a lot of them are very negative. So wanted to know some personal testimonies before I make a choice.
