I think there was an actual Quranic verse or hadith I read on it not too long ago. Hm, maybe, I THINK, it was a hadith that spoke of withdrawal as a form of birth control.
It had the stipulation that you can use withdrawal, but if your wife wants to have a child, then you are not allowed to deny her that right (i.e. the condition where you can't use withdrawal).
