Re: biotin
For hairloss?
I tried Biotin and felt it did nothing for me. Plus I read it stops working as soon as you stop with the pills. I take B5 (panthothen) - Works really well. Within short time I could see the re-growth of tiny hair and now I just take it every now and then. No hairloss problem atm.
Re: biotin
really?
i thought people said it was really good for skin and hair
Re: biotin
I'm taking it in the form of a hair vitamin pill, and I think its helping me with hairloss and thickening the hair.

It is..
1000mcg isn't too much to start with.. You can take Zinc with it if you run into problems with acne (Biotin worked really well for me but without the Zinc it makes me break out.. a fairly common side-effect with higher doses)..
Re: biotin
^thank you...any chances it could clear up acne instead? and when should we increase the dosage? and then before we stop taking it we have to slowly decrease it right..
Re: biotin
My sis bought it but I heard it has side effects so she stopped using it... Don't use supplements, should always try natural remedies.

Have you ever done chemical peels for skin care?
Re: biotin
not yet
what kidna side effects? besides acne

Weight gain was definitely one of the side effects so my sister stopped. For acne, you should pursue chemical peels and there are plenty of awesome cheap deals going on through Groupon.

If you stop taking any supplements the effects are bound to wear off.. That doesn't apply just to Biotin and I'd be shocked if there's ANYTHING out there in the form of a pill which gives permanent results, not without a prescription anyway..
Re: biotin
I read somewhere Biotin also increases body hair! thats the last thing i want, so i stopped taking it. i was taking 5000mcg. it does make hair grow faster i think. but you can get enough biotin from natural sources, i dont think you need to supplement it. i dont think biotin would make your hair stop falling if that's a problem you're having. i would suggest using good hair oils, and a good diet. also just take a regular multivitamin supplement that already contains biotin but not such high doses.
