Re: Biotin HELP!!!

Iron deficiency is also a common cause of hair loss in menstruating women. You can try taking an iron supplement (consult a doctor first)...or make sure you take a multivitamin that also contains iron. Biotin isn't the only nutrient that your hair needs....there are other necessary vitamins and minerals as well....don't forget proetin.

Examine the products you're using...maybe you need to change them. Look at your diet....try to eat healthy and drink plenty of water. Get enough sleep, exercise, and reduce stress. These are the basics....make sure that they're in place. Don't brush/style your hair when it's wet...avoid using heating products (blow dryer, curling iron, etc) for a while. Don't part your hair in the same direction all the time...this leads to traction....which thins out your hair from that particular area. So, change the direction in which you part your hair.

If things don't improve......see a doctor. A doctor can do some tests to find out if you have any deficiences, thyroid conditions, hormonal issues, or other problems causing the hair loss.

Re: Biotin HELP!!!

^^ Thanks!! I saw it..what kind of difference have you noticed apart from the shine??

Re: Biotin HELP!!!

I started taking biotin for the same issue, it ok, but may help you. I noticed my hair is not falling as much (because there is lil left :)) I was very low on vit D to, so I am taking a supplement for vit d and CA, plus mutivitamin i-2 times a week.

I am using 1000ug, my best friend also used 1000ug. Good luck I know how frustrating it is.

Re: Biotin HELP!!!

but be careful biotin kick starts your metabolism too, so make sure you don't start over eating :) just a suggestion

Re: Biotin HELP!!!

I have very long hair, keeping it hydrated and sealing split ends is a constant battle and these products sealed up I would say 80% of my split ends. It made my hair stronger and previous to it i felt like I was shedding left and right. I am truly happy with the Dabur brand.
