Is it a good idea to take both of these courses at the same time? as in the same semester with precalc and stuff? My counselor was saying it would be a bit hard and frustrating with the labs n all too. but I don’t know, I just wana get outa here as fast as i can but im afraid if i hurry up like that i might screw up my chances
So for the ones who have taken em, do u think it’s easy if taken together or shuld i take them different semesters?
im taking physics , chemistry AND biology this semester at my community college. its not as bad as it seems i havent had any trouble yet, although it does get a bit too much for me at times! in the sense that its too much of “science” and u get the feeling that u might be turning into a lab hermit cuz of the amount of time u spend in labs.
for me its 3 , 3 and 3 HOURS for phys. chem. and bio !!
but Alhamdolillah i have been getting all As so far in all the tests n exams lets see what finals bring!
it also depends on ur luck as far as “toughness” goes, like sometimes u have all ur big tests on the same day, one time i had my bio term paper due the same time with other tests and papers due!! that was some experience that i will never forget, i think i mustve stayed up all night for 3 consecutive nights!! but my strategies rnt the ideal ones so i will never ever advise anyone…lolz i am a cramming nut to tell u the truth! ive been doing it since i was in middle school and it alwayz works for me cuz im so used to it now! Alhamdolillah ive always had As and no less than Bs on all my transcripts. it takes years of practice to tell u the truth so never try it if u r used to studying for tests 3 weeks in advance, for me its 3 hours in advance!
this is my last semester at my comm. college, just got accepted at UC Berkeley, so i kinda had to take all these classes that im taking ( i also have anthropology besides the 3 i mentioned! ) so i could get done faster and also cuz they r sorta required for transfer too!
good luck with ur bio and chem
they r both fun classes im sure ull enjoy them!
I took Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Calculus one semester. Bad idea for someone who doesnt study.
I think taking the two together isnt difficult but if you have Pre Calc and other courses it may be burdensome for you if you find those courses require a lot of study time.
It looks like your in high school, in high school all seven of my periods were either AP (Advance Placement) or honors classes I handled it quiet well, you just have to keep up with the work and you should be fine. Right now at university I am taking Chemistry, Biology, Calculus, and Food Science. It’s 17 units and I am not flipping out, last quarter I took Statistics, Chemistry, Calculus, and English and that was tough because English requires a lot of time with reading and composing essays, while math and science on the other hand don’t. And like Munni says it depends on your study habits as well.
Biology and Calculus:love: my two favorite classes, perhaps because I can bs my way through and still get an A.
