I am here with a nazm this time. Just to let the friends from Pak know that in hindu marriages, there are 3 main rasams. MaaNg bharna, phere and Mangalsutra. Though all these 3 customs are essential to complete a marriage but either of these 3 are sufficient to show a girl married. The background emotions of this nazm is from one of the hindi movies i saw sometimes back. i don’t remember the name but Tushar kapoour and Esha Deol were the stars. In this movie, the hero Tushar loves Esha but he doesn’t want to marry her. He has his own emotions and he does not belive in these customes but he gives importance to his Love. I personally don’t agree with him but somewhere in my heart that emotion was there when I wrote this nzam.

Nice to read an original work after so long time here at GS. Pramod, I liked the description that you gave as a prelude to your nazam and the nazm itself is wonderful. Wese to rasmon se bhaagna ya un se aankhein churana is considered to be revolutionary for which one has to be descriptive as to why such and such rasm is insignificant and you do have highlighted the supposed insignificance but personally I believe, such things add beauty to the relationship. Otherwise it appears as if some Marxists are marrying for the cause unknown!

As I said this particular nazm is not portraying my emotions rather I have tried to put myself in the shoes of the Tushaar kapoor in that Film.
