Bin ladens wife...

So where are the remaining family members of this household? I am know Amal his youngest wife survived after being shot in the leg and the USA would like to have custody of her so they can interoggate her with more questions. I am just curious about when and how soon they will interveiw her? Will she be facing any allegations? I hope she is returned safely to her country of origin.

Re: Bin ladens wife...

They are in the possession of ISI at the moment. 2 women and 8 children who were in the house are being "debriefed" by ISI.

What's interesting is the children - Bin Laden lost his Saudi citizenship before they were born, so they cannot be Saudi. Unless they can prove they were born in Pakistan, they cannot be Pakistani either.

I somehow doubt that there's a paper record for fugitive children proving where they were born, so they are basically stateless, unless their mother's country is willing to give them citizenship.

Re: Bin ladens wife...

Why would you not hope instead that she is sentenced to jail in Pakistan for helping to hide a fugitive? And, if she ever cooked a meal for Osama, I hope that she also gets sentenced for providing logistical support to a terrorist organization.

Re: Bin ladens wife...

I don't think the women and kids are threat to anyone and they should be left alone.

Re: Bin ladens wife...

In that case you should turn yourself in, with your tax dollars that contributed to deaths of millions since 9/11.

Of course, it's more convenient to have a separate set rules for yourself, and separate set for "them". The word is hypocrisy.

Re: Bin ladens wife...

Turn myself in to whom, exactly? No authority where I live is seeking those who I funded.

Re: Bin ladens wife…

Some more information about the future of the Bin Laden kids.

  1. Saudi Arabia has already refused to accept them
  2. Yemen is refusing to say whether it will accept back Bin Laden’s Yemeni wife, let alone her kids
  3. Lal Masjid has offered to take them, saying they are heroes. Sources say that the goverment is unwilling to accept this, as the kids would probably be raised to be “jihadi” icons.
  4. The kids will probably be separated from their mother and placed into government-run orphanages, which are apparently one small step up from being prisons.

Re: Bin ladens wife...

Let's hope a country will do the right thing and offer to take them in and provide them with privacy and a chance of a 'normal' life.

Re: Bin ladens wife...

I think the situation of the wife and minor kids is different. The kids can not really be held accountable for much, I am thinking of the 12 yr old, what life has she had so far. But the adults and especially the wife is in a different situation, unless she was unable to inform authorities, she should have, and if that is the case she needs to face the law. I feel for the kids though, not their choice who their father was and what sort of household they were born into. The compassionate thing would be to try and give the kids somewhat of a normal life, with extensive therapy, rehab and counseling. I despise OBL, but I cant seem to find anything but sadness for the small kids, and even the older ones whose childhoods were just taken away..and of all people, by their own father, a monster.

Re: Bin ladens wife...

Well the wife was a young one barely 17 years old when she wed him, hypothetically speaking she could have feared him, and any repurcussions for revealing his whereabouts for that matter. I mean the whole "world" was in "fear" of him and his "organization" and here she is in his custody, you can't deny she may have had her legitimate reasons and the circumstances she found herself were no less than dangerous, so her reasons cannot be minimized. I think it is safe to say with limited access (provided there was no internet access or phone lines) and screened feedback (from two couriars) she could have very well feared her own life and backlash.

In that light we cannot deny if the rest of the world is threatened by him, she was not just because she was his wife? We don't know and can't hold her accountable for anything, her frame of mind, and thoughts cannot be assumed, we can only theorize until she comes forth, and even then it depends on how comfortable she is with revealing her life with him, and how safe she feels doing that.

On lawful grounds one may have a different perspective in accordance with law but on ethical grounds to hold her accountable for hosting him, how responsible is she for her circumstances? You have to judge the situations from different levels, and not ignore vital keypoints such as her family culture (her brother arranged her marriage to this man?), educational background, and safety. I don't really hold anything against her she's too young to be held to the degree of what people will be blaming her for, I think being self-imprisoned for 5 years already exemplifies suffering, and I would not wish any further suffering on anybody be it her or anybody else. May Allah relieve everybody, and grant us peace.

Re: Bin ladens wife...

Why did US leave the caught family members of OBL in Pakistan...

Re: Bin ladens wife...

If Dr. Afia can be a threat then why not these ?

Re: Bin ladens wife…

They had less space in helicopters :sunnyboy: Story is very weak :cobra:

Re: Bin ladens wife…

Yeah it is very weak :sunnyboy:

Re: Bin ladens wife...

Well I know they report that 2 dozens adults and children were found living with him, they killed two couriers, a woman, his son, and him. I think when they left the compound they took more important information sources such as computer hardware and male members from the compound and left behind woman and children as they were lesser of priority ... Because logically where are the rest I think they are American captives and wife and children are Pakistani detainees

Re: Bin ladens wife...

I read his wife was given to him as a gift when she was 15 years old. I don't think she had much choice in the matter.

Re: Bin ladens wife...

Well if Pakistan was smart it could gain a lot of publicity if it officially interveiwed the detainees. I'm sure a lot of people all around the world are generally curious as to what went on in the life inside the compound for all this time.

Another thing is that I think the Osama compound in the future will attract curious tourists, they should preserve it and open it to the public one day.

Re: Bin ladens wife...

How old is the wife? She looks very young.

Re: Bin ladens wife...

I think she is 27. the pic they show is when she was first married to him, appears as if the pic circulating the web was of when she was a teenager.

Re: Bin ladens wife...

where is the pic of the wife ?
