So basically she should be asked to shut up because #1, she is a woman, #2, she is a lesbian. Have any of your guys even bothered to read her book? No wonder the current (she calls it “today”) state of Islam is that you can’t be serious for the following reasons:
- Your Shalwar is not above your ankles
- You don’t shave your pubic hair 12th of every Islamic month
- You say Asalama-o-Lakum to fellow Muslims, how dare you
- You don’t believe that Abdul Atta was a martyr
- You don’t believe in 72 virgins
You can see that AK47 without realizing puts his AK47 right on his forehead and shots himself by calling her a Shyt, not realizing that Irshad is derived from one of Allah’s names. He, in essence, is calling Allah a Shyt, and he will get away with it, because of years of brainwashing he has received by his neighborhood Molvi. That, in a nutshell is the level of Muslims today. And Ms. Manji is challenging it. If a religion tells a group of people (e.g., Homosexuals, Jews) that they are misfits, it presents its ass on a platter to them. Learn to take it.

Islam is like Pollack’s painting. One can view it from various perspectives. No one is necessarily right, or wrong. Only different. If you believe that you have to have a dick to critique Pollack’s paintings, then Ijtihad is perhaps not for you. Your issues are way to severe (and serious) than needing a reformation.
