That's exactly what i was thinking..how can you be a bilquis and a kaur at the same time? I thought Bilquis is a muslim name, correct me if i'm wrong

I am thinking it is a popular name in Punjab maybe similar to how some Muslims have Patel as their last name. Just a guess....

Yeah we are looking forward to it too. Hopefully they pay attention to story and acting too. Many times, when they are shooting it outside Pakistan, most of their attention is on scenery.
We are also not following any drama other than Mata-e-jaan .....
Durr-e-Shahwar is pretty good D6C albeit a bit slow but solid acting and a slightly different take on the same old story.

this looks good, interesting and different story line, from the promos at least...did ahsan khan sign a contract with humtv? he is in almost every production of theirs!

Can someone explain the story liine? Bilquees is a converted Muslim but holds very traditional values along with her husband but the kids dont? something like that?

Her Muslim husband went to US for earning and Bilquees's father supported him. Its not been shown, how and why she converted. but her husband seems quite Matha and she had to take care of her family. Its all about pride of working woman, but I think her character is not negative.
Actually this drama looks a bit strange from the promos. I don't if this is a tragedy, comedy or what. There are quite a few characters. There appears to be multiple story lines. Will watch first episode tonight though.

Farhan Ali Agha is also in the drama? And isn’t that Saifi from Malaal? Girl resembles an Indian drama actress … what are they all doing together? o.O

They had this introductory show before airing 1st episode. May be you can get information about these people and their role in the play.

This one definitely has potential. I thought the 1st episode was okay. I just wish there were English subtitles for Punjabi :( It was super hard for me to understand Bushra Ansari.

^The first episode moved along quite nicely. A lot is shown and I liked it for the most part....EXCEPT...(like noted above) the rapid punjabi spoken by BA. Subtitles were required here!
