That is not a paindu accent. That is just (pure) punjabi and this is what it sounds like.

Yes punjabi people have differences in accent/words depending of which area they are from, but this accent that you are talking about has nothing to do with being born in USA or a pind or with being highly educated or not.

Also, like a lot of people stated Bilqees is the only one speaking proper Punjabi, everyone else pretty much speaks Urdu. And when she’s talking about important plot parts, it’s rather easy Punjabi. When she’s dissing her kids or her son in law then she starts hardcore, but anyways. I HATE Sadia Imam…wth?! I have NEVER met anyone speak with an accent like that. I’ve been to the most Punjabified of pinds, I’ve met fresh off the boat Faislabadis and Lahoris…their Urdu attempts are NOTHING like hers. It’s so pathetic, she doesn’t even attempt to sound Punjabi…she’s the one who just arrived shouldn’t she be SLIGHTLY more credible? She’s old and needs to stop ‘acting’ if you can call it that, all she does is pretend to be a freakin ‘bechari’ all the time in every. single. drama. God. Every time she’s on screen I want to stab my eyes out. Farhan Agha is now lol-worthy cos it’s so funny how he tries.
