I am very disturbed to read what you wrote, my Sunni brother. Did you know Quaid dreamt of a Sunni Pakistan? Pakistan can never become secular and should try to emulate the failed model of India. Pakistan is happy with its Sunni image. Islam makes us what we are.. Islam is the reason for our existence. We have greatest religious scholars in Pakistan and we are proud of them. We shouldn't try to become too modern. Islam teaches us that life should be simple and we should be respectful and humble to everyone. There's a wave in Pakistan to copy everything from the west- we should stop that. Hijaab and beard should be part of our lives. We should follow Shariah and I think even minority should do that.

If India is a failed model, then why the hell its economy is booming ?? What is your definition for Pakistani model ???

There is a major difference between Indian and Chinese economic growth.

In case of China it is State driven whereas in case of India major thrust is entrepreneurial, latter case appears to be sustainable.

You missed the point… Or perhaps you should listen to manmohan more often when he goes around and thank the Brits and Amreekans for what they have done and are doing for India…

In the end its directly proportional to the rising threat of the dragon in the north… Once the dragons head is cut you can go back in bed with commies like always and ask amreeka where is India on the map and you will have your answer…

Yes Manmohan is towing the line of Americans, no doubt about that. Point I am conveying that is India has more entrepreneurial stuff than China. Americans or for that matter any other Western nation have their interests in India which are beneficial to India but Indian economy will not be at par with US for many decades to come. A nation of one billion people cannot become a developed nation by 2020 eventhough our politicians try their best to pull the wool over our eyes. US interest in India is also driven by creating a balance in the region.

But the most important point is that if we continue to have a climate of mistrust among us we will continue to be puppets in the hands of Western powers.

Yes Manmohan is towing the line of Americans, no doubt about that. Point I am conveying that is India has more entrepreneurial stuff than China. Americans or for that matter any other Western nation have their interests in India which are beneficial to India but Indian economy will not be at par with US for many decades to come. I am aware of it but probably you also know that Russia, China and India want to create another pole position to keep US where it belongs to. I can’t say how effective it will be.

I can only say one thing if Pakistan, India and Bangladesh unite life can be much better for everybody..we have resources and we have talent.

1. Modernity and Islam can go hand in hand. They have. Our empires embraced modernity. We were once philosophers, scientists and economists. The islam of your mullahs is the ONLY interpretation of islam in the history of our civilization that has opposed modernization. Islam isnt about burning down colleges for biology with nude diagrams. In this day and age we’d expect to have great islamic leaders. Instead, we have illiterate criminals running our mosques.

You’re not a muslim if you’re afraid of scientific innovation. Secularism is not western, nor is it opposed to Islam. Thats why the brightest muslim scholars live in the west.
