Bikini Bumps after waxing!!!

How to avoid???

I was looking up some Elemis products yesterday and came across a product by Bliss that is supposed to eliminate ingrown hairs and bumps after waxing AND shaving.

Here’s the product:

It says not to use these at least 12 hours after shaving and 24 hours after waxing because the pads contain salicylic and glycolic acids that can irritate the freshly shaved or waxed skin.

I would like to get people’s opinions on this product… Do you think its a good idea to use these? Or should we stay away coz these contain some irritating chemicals? They’d probably be too irritating for the bikini area?

In that case, we should just stick to exfoliation to prevent ingrown hairs, right?

Re: Bikini Bumps after waxing!!!

there are so many products like those pads on the market - but i have never come across one that actually works.

finally i gave up on all those products and started exfoliating my skin, which gina suggested last year and it worked. i exfoliate everytime i shower on my legs, arms etc - and before going for a wax.

Those pads just irritate the skin furthur.. I suggest manual exfoliation and a alcohol-free toner (rosewater is fantastic) right after waxing.

exfoliation after waxing????

Re: Bikini Bumps after waxing!!!

sometimes using tree tea oil or E-oil before and after waxing has a soothing effect on the skin and might help with the bumps.

salycyclic acid is anti-inflammatory...and that means that it reduces the process that leads to pain...so im guessing that it will be good but too much use can be harmful for the skin
