pakistan mein jab bhi bijli jati thi barha maza ata tha..
we had to be all together in one huge room…
dada abu ji use to call it beethaak!
hum sare bache neeche bait jate they and my ami ji and other bahos would sit next to dadi ami and bari bari dadi ami ko panke se hawa dete they…
and dada abu ko koi na koi chacha samhalta tha.
hum sab co usins mil ke ek dosre ko daraoni kahaniyana sunate they.. it was so much fun. and sometimes ek dosre pe moom bati bhenkate they garam garaam wax girti thi to barha maza ata tha i think i got burned once *ouch…
mera co usin jo draowni kahani sunata tha abh bechara kud drawona ho gaya hai.. shadi ke bad yeh haal to hota hi hai na..
That is something I miss in canada
We should have a bijli day here. The lights should go off at around 2:00 AM and we should spend a couple of hours in the dark .
One thing I remember very well is that when the lights went off in the middle of the night, we would be just too lazy to get up, although we wont be able to sleep at all, just laying there, sweating , dozing off , dozing on…
When suddenly the sweet WHEEEEERRrrrrrrr sound of the Fan turning on would be heard …
once on ma cousins birthay.. bijli gayi.. meanwhile we were havin a pie fight.. jab bijli aayi.. hamme pata chala.. ke damage kitna tha.. the whole room..was covered wid white stuff..(Pie..!) n ofcourse.. we were like white jinns..
hahaha nashukray loog
yar that is so adventurous
When I go to Pakistan this summer I am looking forward to power breakdowns so I can revive old memories…

okay heres what happened at our place.
When we had a power breakdown in the night. The first thing we used to do was to put a moom batti (candle) inside the toilet. This way things were pretty normal. No need to panic :halo:
