I think everybody will be saying that the team has become more committed and more fighting unit..
But i think we miss another change in our team which is the positive cricket. I mean in last couple of years under the Inzi captaincy we are playing less and less cricket for saving the game and more attacking cricket. I mean who would have thought that Pakistan will try to bat so positively in 2nd innings after almost 150 runs deficiet. I mean if it had happened couple of yrs ago then i can safely say that every batsman would have tried to occupy the crease and pass the time to draw the test.
its not only in this test but also in India that i have seen the team is playing natural game and trying to be positive instead of going for a result less match. and i think as long as we are positive in our game i think we will keep winning more matches than losing… Insallah.
Re: Biggest change in team under Inzi leadership...
I think you didn't watch Dard-e-Ashna (@ Pakmusic).
Inzimam mentions some very key things that have change over the years and affected the team positively. All the other team members are present at this program (except Shoaib) and I like how Mushtaq Ahmad talks about "team effort"
Pm me for a link if you dont know that site
Re: Biggest change in team under Inzi leadership…
Yea surely i didn;t watch that program. But one thing is saying and other thing is wot is a ground reality… There is never a shortage of high claims by Pakistanis… So the true thing is how the team is performing during the match. I mean team attitude has changed no matter they are winning or loosing. There are no more match fixing claims due to bad performance or rather i should say sub-potential performance…
Anyway there must be other changes too in the team but this is something which looked most important to me.
Re: Biggest change in team under Inzi leadership...
Also - the biggest change under his leadership is that they are becoming more religious and showing allegiance towards Tableghi jamat.

Talk about supporting a team for all the wrong reasons.
Re: Biggest change in team under Inzi leadership...
I am not sure if there is a big change or anything. Someone can pull the statistics to show that we had better success rates with some other captains. What we are seeing is a team that fell to the lowest levels against Australia, and then is gradually on a comeback trail. Its a long way to go to get anywhere near a consistent and reliable team. Pakistan has never really been a consistent team anyway, except may be a short period under Imran Khan, where people relied on the team to perform to the best of their abilities.
One thing though, is that Woolmer has infused a sense of physical fitness in the team that was missing earlier.
Re: Biggest change in team under Inzi leadership…
you do “mean” a lot!..don’t you…
Re: Biggest change in team under Inzi leadership…
yep…you are spot on!..Bob woolmer has introduced our team to that aspect…I am not sure if you guys know this or not but bob used to be the regional head of tableghi jammat for NWFP…only recently, he got rid of his beard …he told guys to show 100 percent commitment to the tableghi jammat and not to worry about anything else…results are obvious…
Re: Biggest change in team under Inzi leadership...
All the changes I have seen have occurred after Bob Woolmer's appointment. Chacha Bob has changed our team, and Pakistan now refuses to give up easily.
Re: Biggest change in team under Inzi leadership...
definitely the team has shown some extreme improvement in their attitude and game. the whole unit works together..each and everyone is capable of being a match winner..we don't have to rely only on one single individual to produce results. the teams has really gained some maturity as well. even though majority of the players on the team are young, they show a lot of promise and i think we are in good position for the world cup in 07.
Re: Biggest change in team under Inzi leadership...
^ Not sure about attacking insticnt but i would rather continue from the point mentioned above that our team no longer relies on one individual only. But I still will not dub them match winnners, rather important contributors. To be dubbed a match winner, they have to do it over a longer period of time (like Wasim Waqar, Saeed, Javed used to do, ahhh just miss those days). Inzi still are biggest and most reliable match winner but we are building on victories on other contributions too (Younis, Danish, Afridi, Salman). Positive sign indeed.
p.s welcome to kk moinsm!
