Big Fish

I could have sworn somebody had started a thread on Big Fish - the movie, that is.

At any rate, I saw this movie Saturday night, and I have to say, it was one of the best movies I have ever seen. Geared for people of all ages, it makes you laugh, it makes you cry, and it always has you surprised.

The plot turns were very interesting and unpredictable, and the performances were really good.

The best part was how they made the tall tales come to life. The giant obviously was in costume, but the rest of it was done very realistically.

Well, I wont ruin it for anyone else, but if you get a chance this movie is one of those that should be seen on the big screen. Maza hi alag hai.

I am totally looking forward to this movie :k:. It hasnt been released here yet as I live in a chota sa town :bummer:…I knew from the first time i saw previews of it that its gonna be a good movie..and its good to hear a good opinion on it…

I HV seen the add but not the movie

the concept was very interesting - however i thought there could have been a bit more comedy or more drama - and less bland time - It seemed to me that this movie was missing connection - perhaps the preview shows all the scenes with special effects so my expectations were not met.

hmmm

movie was very well done indeed…agree with PCG  :k:

I thought the movie was very touching. It's one of those movies that may not seem very outstanding just when you finish watching them but they do haunt your thoughts later :)

This movie is on my must-see list! Thanks for the review PCG.

Outstanding movie!

Good to see a well-made movie about just life amongst the endless hobbits, magic and war-themed releases dominating the screens currently.

i havent even heard of this movie? who's in it?

Quite true, the plot bogged down halfway, and that made me sleep, but the concept was quite interesting indeed.

That giant was not in a costume, hes a real actor, he stars in alot of films. His size was enlarged through CGI.

so physically, his face and posture are just as they appear in the movie?

Yeah, his head is bent like that. He also has the guiness book record for having the longest feet. He is 7foot 6inches I think...

Heres an old picture of him...

I must say that was one of the best movies I’ve ever seen…I was especially stunned at the ending…i was speechless for a good 5 minutes after the movie…i loved all of the stories…my fav story is how he met his wife…so cute…and then the last story that the son told was awesome! :k:
