I am showing you this page for the worst we are facing. Those who thinking that this can be better without basic structural change in system , They live in fools paradise. And those who think that anyone alone can do those are more…
Still there is a way. By chance most of political and other power groups have some share in power play at least somewhere. Only few and smaller others can also be taken on board.Time to sit together for a fair and wise working otherwise

Lahore: 3 women among 13 killed in suicide attack
Three women among 13 killed while 60 others injured as a suicide bomber struck outside an intelligence office in Block K, Model Town, Lahore.
DCO Sajjad Bhutta confirmed that it was a suicide attack, and added that the intelligence office was targeted. The intelligence office building got completely damaged, while a 15 feet wide and 7 feet deep crater has been emerged. The blast was so powerful that its bang was heard miles away from the site, whereas many cars parked over there damaged and glasses of nearby building also got shattered. Smoke engulfed the whole area.
According to sources, the adjacent Dr Israr Ahmed’s mosque and academy also damaged. Rescue efforts have been kicked off and ambulances rushed the scene and the injured are being shifted to hospitals. Security forces threw cordon around the area.
Talking to media, DCO Bhutta said that the toll could not be ascertained, adding that the injured are being retrieved from the rubble. He said that around 70 people were present at the blast site, while 600kg explosives were used in the incident. It merits to mention that two years ago on March, 11 2008, a suicide bomber struck the same Model Town besides two other places in the city.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani strongly condemned the incident. Meanwhile, Interior Minister Rehman Malik sought report from IG Punjab in this regard.

Because they themselves are not going to drive/walk on the road alone, they will have huge guards outside their homes, all the security machinery that is supposed to protect common citizens is posted around MNAs, MPAs, PM, President, CM, governors, they hold meetings outside of the country.
when will this end? :( so many friends and families live there
It may end when we start respecting law, when we start paying taxes, when he develop good civic sense, when we start respecting humanity/country... we should've got all this from Islam but apparently we are neither Muslims nor good citizen.
oh thats is really bad. Model Town is such a peaceful and I must say most organised, well managed and maintained area.
I hope no one died???????
:(
why are you sad? isn't this a great success for the divinely guided momineen that are the Taliban terrorists - people that you support and sympathize with? you should be celebrating.
Re: big bomb blast in lahore
on a related note, this is a reminder why Rana Sanaullah needs to have knuckles rapped hard for his shenanigans. these bearded terrorist/thugs should be treated as pariahs - not given respect the way Rana Sanaullah gave to some two-bit moulvi thug a few days ago. and the right-wing media led by the likes of Hamid Mir did not utter a word about it.
honestly, people like Sanaullah, Hamid Mir, Ansar Abbasi should be sent to Waziristan so they can live with their favorite barbarians and enjoy shariat.
My parents' house is 4-5 houses down the same lane where this happened... I just called my mother ....Alhumdullilah they are safe...but not a single house in the neighborhood has any more windows...all the glass shattered...it was such a loud blast... My mother was in a panic mode and according to her it was a frantic scene..
:(
Good to hear everyone is safe and sound in your home,
is it a residential area ??
Model Town is one of the best locatilies in pakistan to live - so green and serene - a classic mix of pre-partion old palatial houses and amodern houses.. it has a large well maintained parks.. it has housed Dev Anand, Faiz Ahmad Faiz, Hafeez Jalandhry, Ashfaq ahmad, Nawaz Shareef and many others...
I live in A Block and it was ahuge blast, my sisters house is in D Block and its windows were blown out, one of my cousins's house is next to where the blast occured- destroying the house - luckily no one got hurt seriously.. they had been anticipating such attack for a long time..
We have been complaining eversince a blast occured in F Block 2 years back when terrorists attacked an ISI building to move these facilities out of the locality.. but nothing happened since thse agencies are above law.. these could be moved out of town in open place making it safe for public as well as themselves..

.....
That's so true. I have found during my visits that Model town (main section) is the best planned locality in Lahore (if not the whole country).
So glad that you and your family n friends are safe.

This is not possible. Instead of cursing and kicking them, we should mourn their loss. They died defending us the Pakistani public.
Believe you me, if you ever visit afghanistan/Somalia you would know the hell on earth after the law enforcement officers are killed or kicked out.
More over do you think that if terrorists attack a shia/ahmadi mosque or a house in our locality tomorrow? Should we then then ask all Shias / Ahmadis to leave our neighborhoods?
To be honest! We should be cursing at the terrorists and the ideology that leads to hate and terror,
And not our neighbors and our officers.
Re: big bomb blast in lahore
No, intelligence offices need to be in non-residential areas. BECAUSE they are targets of terrorists, they need to be in more secure places, both for their own sakes and for the sakes of all the innocent residents who are simply going about their lives. No one is cursing them on this thread that I can see. But it is like having a nuclear installation in the middle of a residential area: chances are high that sooner or later there is going to be a problem and a lot of people will be killed or injured.

OK.
So we can always say "Not in my backyard" for anything that is a perceived danger to our homes and families. Who can argue with that?
If we for a moment accept your logic, then what specific locality would you suggest in Lahore where EVERY police station, and intellegence office should be located?
Do remember they are attacking police stations too. And so too are the girls schools, mosques, and homes/offices of the political figures.
I am not familiar with Lahore, so would you suggest where should all these sensitive offices should go, and if needed how much money they should spend for building the offices in the new location.
Thank you.
