What do the Bible, “The Hunger Games” and “Fifty Shades of Grey” have in common? All three are works of fiction, according to the booksellers at Costco.

Re: Bible is a fiction?
Some people say that there are so many ideas common between Buddhism and Christianity that it looks like New Testament is just Buddhist teachings re-sentenced.
For example, the concept of 'love' so much common in Jesus' teachings was originally given by Gothama Buddha.
Due to these similarities, people have come up with websites like "jesus is buddha" or "jesus never existed".

Some people also believed that Jesus migrated to Kashmir after resurrection :)
As far as calling / labeling, religious scriptures as work of fiction, this indicate that non-religious people either don't know about the religions or they don't want to respect others beliefs.
Re: Bible is a fiction?
Well, in the first post you asked how Bible is work of fiction, and I told then reason how it is called a work of fiction.
Of course, there always will be struggle between believers and non-believers. Incidentally, saying that Jesus went to India is also an act of belief alone. Isn't it?
Re: Bible is a fiction?
The reason and confusion in the article posted in OP seems deliberate and obvious. When book shops, etc got a category of religion and scripture, then labeling Bible under category of fiction is dishonesty.

haha. Now I see what you mean. Yes, it is not right.
Nevertheless, probably not a coincidence that the far right Fox News reported it.

Its not any book on bible.. Its Bible itself that is being labelled with 'fiction' tag.

Most of these scriptures have "stories" of different anbiya (AS) which are tales/fictions for atheists.
Re: Bible is a fiction?
In the past I made a friend on some Afghan discussion forum, an atheist. This is how he describes his religious leanings on FaceBook.

Re: Bible is a fiction?
How would an atheist explain incidents of Jesus (AS) curing blinds and waking the deads? Or the Noah's Ark ferrying all humans and animals left after that big disaster? or Namrood's Fire and Abraham (AS) or Moses' (AS)stick converting into a snake or partitioning of the red sea (?) and so on...

Most of these scriptures have "stories" of different anbiya (AS) which are tales/fictions for atheists.
By this logic, their ideology can also be labelled as fiction, because its also based on some presumptions.

Its like terming every affection as sex. If this ideology is blindly followed then softness in heart of father for his own daughter, the caring attitude of a mother for her son will be labelled as sex.
