Re: biased SC?
I don't think Gilani wants to become shaheed, even if PPP wins next election, he won't be their candidate for PM.
Re: biased SC?
I cannot help but think that sometimes SC picks and chooses cases to hear against Musharraf and PPP. Memogate is very important issue so is NRO. But why is SC not hearing cases against NS? like Asghar khan's and hudabiya paper mills cases?
SC never heard against Musharraf.
Not at all
Lal Masjid,12 May,BUGHTI MURDER EVEN ILLEGAL CONFINEMENT OF JUDGES(INCLUDING CJ HIMSELF)
TThey never heard the case of eligibility of Showbaz, He is a CM on a stay order for last 4 years .
There is every think ok for Central Punjab
Gunahgar to Bangali Baloch Saraiki Sindhi ya Pakhton hain
Maharajah Ranjeet Singh Ki aulad kay Ghulam

If military takes over now, this will be valid reason to propagate what you said above. The worst situation will result in Baluchistan and now in Sindh too.
Re: biased SC?
Can't say anything to the military, that's treason. Can't say anything to the judiciary, that's contempt of court. Can't say anything to the mullahs, that's blasphemy (they will kill you literally & its all halal, too). But the parliament, president, prime minister, let's lynch them because its our democratic right.
Btw, if generals and the CJ want take over the country...let them, but let us apply same standards in judging their performance & hypocrisy, too.
Re: biased SC?
When an elected government is miserably failing in it's duty to provide good governance and leadership, there comes a time when you say enough is enough
Can't let governments plunder national wealth or sell the country just because they are 'elected'. The judiciary will be well within it's rights to send the government packing (though I highly doubt that it will do so)

No, it is the say of the people of Pakistan, the voters.
That is the Constitution, not your personal whim.

Well it has already happened in the past, in 1993 when NS was sent packing by the then judiciary
I see judiciary dismissing an incompetent government as an undesirable but (still) lawful step (cf. Talaaq)
Still better than the alternative (a military takeover)...

Yes, it has happened before - Pakistan history is full of unconstitutional moves.
That is one of the reasons the country is in such a mess, with people not following the law.
You really think judiciary can dismiss govt without the Army beside it??

Re: biased SC?
I dont think that the judiciary or military will send the government packing, they could have done that yesterday if they wanted to. Keeping PPP in power and denying them martyr ship would be the biggest revenge against them.
Re: biased SC?
Does anyone really think that if there would be another election, sooner or later, then same set-up (PPP and allies) would not make government again?
My feeling is that, it is most like PPP would get re-elected again and with same allies may form new government with vengeance ... increasing their corruption and making daring decisions to kick (with honey, butter and sweet talks) other institutions (especially, Judiciary and Army).
As for IC, he is retiring end of this year, but then PPP has learned a very effective way of kicking Supreme Court and SC’s corrupt and bias judgments, that is to put cotton in their ears and let courts bark. In the end it is up to government to implement decisions of SC, that PPP has decided to never implement but say that it would surely going to get implemented (after indefinite time period).
Actually, by their behaviour, judgments, and actions, Supreme Court is making PPP stronger, as most people outside Punjab and many anti-Nawaz votes in Punjab have started to look at Judiciary as bias and IC as paid servant of Nawaz.
Re: biased SC?
The SC is hurting democracy with its obsession with PPP. They are helping the undemocratic forces by destabilizing the government. No one has any apetite for democracy in Pakistan. SC, army, or some political party just can't let the voters decide. They have to intervene every single time before the term is up.

This is Takht e Lahore mentality
No justice for rest of Pakistan.
They are now become mad .

If people's party wins again, that would signal the end of Pakistan. They have already destroyed everything, economy is on the brink of collapse and they dont have any policies to tackle the problems the country is facing. As far as incentive for them to rule the country is concerned they havent left anything in the country to loot in their next tenure.

If they win, they win through votes. So you think that people of Pakistan will be responsible for destruction if they elect PPP again. I don't understand your logic.
Re: biased SC?
I don't see them winning the next elections, people don't have gas, electricity infact they have lost all the basic amenities, joblessness has increased and inflation has increased under this government. In sindh their own province go and see the plight of the people affected by the floods. Let's see what happens, if the people elect them again then they shouldn't complain after that that have lost all that was left during this tenure.

Can't agree with you here.. our patience with our politicians is incomparable in the world.
1) Where in the world you have politicians who are caught red handed destroying the evidence of corruption in Geneva and we said more or less nothing to this politician who happens to be our President.
2) We have not electricity for 12 hours in a day.. we have no gas in the peak winter months.. there was no employment generation in last few years.. and yet our nation did not come to streets against these mismanagement.. where in the world can you find such a tolerant nation for their politicians..
3) Our politicians did not want to create any accountability system in the country.. they refused to abide the court decisions.. they robbed our institutions.. our railway has curtailed the number of routes from approx. 100 to 12.. our PIA delays flights frequently for the lack of fuel in spite of the fact that we the tax payers pour billions to keep it running. Steel Mills, NICL, Fertilizer scam.. name anything related with the government and you will find it grossly mismanaged.. robbed dry.. and near bankruptcy. Yet you claim that our public is intolerant and they should say nothing about these family dynastic politicians.
Okay.. let's assume your argument that army, judges, mullahs are all worse type of mafias. Does this mean we have no right to criticize the politicians. Which politician in the history of Pakistan was actually convicted and went to jail for looting public money. BOP was robbed for around 80/90 billion rupees by the politicians who affiliated themselves with then illegal President. Who went to jail for this loot. You don't find judges who have the balls to hear cases against politicians because they are threatened or even killed if they tried to convict them. How many judges/policemen have lost their lives who dared to hear cases or do investigation against Zardari or MQM... Even the last Interior minister of Sindh made public all the JITs against MQM which were never brought to courts and were used to negotiate political mileage.
You are advising the Pakistani nation not to talk about the criminality of these politicians and treat them as holy cows.. what kind of twisted logic is that. These so called politicians of Pakistan are just mafia trying to save their family fiefdoms and criminality. They make this propaganda that if you talk about their criminality.. democracy will be in danger. What kind of democracy are we talking about.. which gives them license to do every kind of criminality and get away from this.. sorry enough of this tolerance lectures for our Pakistani nation. We don't want this fake democracy.. where 45% votes are bogus.. and politicians negotiate NROs to come to power and end up looting the country dry... and collaborate with foreign countries to bomb our innocent citizens.. enough is enough..
