No mention of Pakistan, Sri Lanka (at the time, Sri Lanka were pounding England and India were destroying the Aussies. Pakistan had recently mbeaten SA). Mr Stereotype strikes again.
Last night, I was furious when the Kiwis commentators started to insinuate ball tampering by Pakistan. They did this by suggesting how ‘well Pakistan look after the ball’ and "how they assist the aging of the ball by putting a thumb here and there when they pass the ball to each other’.
stupid commentators also made a comment abt how the sub continent batsmen play shots with an open bat (have no idea wat it means), which caused the downfall of youhanna. the commentator was just making this comment when inzi hit a 4, n that guy stopped in mid sentence wish i cud c his face
You can't blame them poor souls. Pakistan has been a big thorn in the cricket history of New Zealand. We have beaten them in most of the test matches. We have given them their worst test performances, 26 for 9 in Auckland a couple of years ago and then yesterday losing 7 for 8 runs. We beat them in the semifinal of the world cup 92 when they were hot favorites and in momentum and them humiliated them in 1999 in manchester.
So, it's OK. they can vent as long as they keep losing.

I was very mad at them but finally looking at the 2nd test result I feel so good. :) So let them bark.
I am surprised at the sport channel folks who offered contracts to these prejudiced commentators. Have never seen others act so biased. Even the Indian commentators don't insult Pakistan that much!
Will we have to listed to the same idiots in the 5 ODI series. If there are no good commentators available to choose from Pakistan, can't they change the mix by adding a couple from other countries like India, England or Australia. Listening to a whole bunch of biased NZ commentators all the time is a torture.
