Muslim UNity was not his strong point considering he had private armies and dealt with opposition very cruely.

Was the consitution any good though? How is it rated?

That is wrong. He organized biggest Islamic conference where all heads of Muslim states participated and united though for brief period. Never happened before nor happened after his death. He was niether cruel nor he had private armies.
