Bhutto did make mistakes but he was not wholly responsible for fall of Dhaka. Dhaka’s fall was writing on the wall since the very beginning and the formation of one unit was probably the most lethal nail in the coffin.

In that 1977 movement of - one of the PPP supporters in Karachi named “Allah Banda” was killed, burned, and peed in the name of Islam. His wood depot was set on fire and he was falsely accused of firing and killing people. He was running away to save his life.
That’s was the shameful movement of Islami e nizam!

PNA’s slogans of 1977 elections - Islami system would be implemented overnight, inflation would be back to 1970 level, investigations into 1971 events and fall of Dhaka and what not!
And when JI joined the Zia government - GIK gave another inflation record breaking budget in 1979.
They talk about implementing the Islamic System when they even can not implement Islamic Calender for their activities - they hold their annual congregation in November every year.

The subject of thread is misleading. First post seems to discuss role of religious paty or their use by Bhutto or Zia. So, Dear Mr OP (@mahool), what should be discussed here so that some hassas dil log don’t mind.

Some Jamati I know term Bhutto Jannati for declaring Qadianis as Kafir. Still their pithoos will not have any issue with this action of Bhutto. You know why? because ‘meethe meetha hu hup, kaRwa kaRwa thoo thoo’.
