Bhutto warns against Pakistan polls boycott.

Mashallah. Good to see BB wanting to see democratic process continue in Pakistan.

Former Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto says an opposition boycott of upcoming polls will only help president Pervez Musharraf legitimise his imposition of emergency rule.

Ms Bhutto says she will meet early next week with her former rival, Nawaz Sharif, who has called for a boycott of the elections scheduled to take place on January 8.

She says a boycott would give Mr Musharraf a two-thirds majority in the parliament and allow him to validate his provisional constitutional order.

Ms Bhutto says this is why she wants to take part in the elections under protest.

President Musharraf was sworn in for a second term as president on Thursday after standing down as army chief. He says he’ll lift emergency rule by December 16.

Re: Bhutto warns against Pakistan polls boycott.

ok so, lets say somehow Mush doesnt get 2/3rd majority in the elections and his PCO is in danger, then what? Is he gonna sit on his thumb and do nuthing?

Re: Bhutto warns against Pakistan polls boycott.

So BB is playing Nawaz for a fool again?

Or maybe he is playing her for a fool this time, by actually boycotting and thereby ensuring she gets less seats in the elections?

Re: Bhutto warns against Pakistan polls boycott.

Lol. Whether NS takes part or not, BB no longer has the previous vote bank.
