RS$hites finally got their wish. Advani’s praise for Jinnah was too much for those little minds filled with anti-Pakistan prejudice and hate. Too bad Advani is leaving when he was ready to bring RSS back towards centerist stance. Oh well it should be a lesson for Paks as well. Bharati extermists will never recognize Pakistan or Pakistani founder Jinnah.
BJP president L K Advani on Sunday announced that he would step down from the post on December 30.
Advani made the announcement in his concluding remarks at the National Executive meeting here.
He said he would stay on as BJP president through the Bihar elections. There was a lot of confusion in NDA as Bihar elections were approaching.
According to party sources, Advani attacked the RSS saying that the impression that the Sangh fountainhead was controlling the BJP was neither good for either the party or it.
Advani has held the post of BJP chief five times in the 25-year history of the party.
However, he had recently come in for a lot of criticism within the party as well as from the RSS.

Yeap his "hard work" on Ruthless Ruth-yatra that ended with destruction and killing of thousands.
Anyway this old chap was slowly moving away from extremism. During his tour of Lahore he helped open the tomb of Raja Loh (1200 BC). Renovation of this tomb will start as well. I hope he doesn't quit completely. He must continue with humanitarian work. May be this is his way of asking for forgiveness.
p.s. For those who don't know the history of Punjab. Two brothers put the foundations stones of sister cities Lahore and Qasur. These great souls were: Raja Loh, and Raja Kas.

These Bharati extremists have no moral stanadards anyway.
Rape seems to be a pervasive thought among the extremists and terrorists who ruled India until recently, and who still govern Gujrat, where thousands od Muslim women were raped.
What followed should really worry the RSS if it believes in the moral standards it proclaims. Soon after the letter was delivered, those representing the Hindu groups at the hearing threatened tribunal members and IPT staff, many of them women. They threatened rape and public stripping. They took photographs of tribunal convenor Chatterji, saying “we will make sure everybody knows your face.” One of the women witnesses described the scene: “The intensity and verbal violence deployed by the Sangh activists was fearsome. They surrounded us and their tone became more and more menacing and their actions more abusive.” Has the threat of rape become an accepted RSS weapon? Is this what the RSS wants? When the tribunal members asked about RSS ideology and its purported respect for women, they were told that such protection was reserved only for "proper women.

When a leader stops representing the views of his constituency, obviously it is time for change. Isn't that the cornerstone of democracy? Advani quitting shouldn't really surprise anyone then.

If by that 2000 remark you are referring to the Godhra massacre, don't you think some parts of the Palkistan government machinary shoulders significant responsibility for the level of pertrubation that led to that incident? Numerous incursions from across the border and attacks on J&K has led to such a degree of anger that boiled over.
Granted, if Pakistan's motives in enabling such incursions was to sow seeds of discontent amongst Indians, they did succeed in that mission. However the result was the sad massacre of Muslims for which while Modi & company take the blame for their actions, Pakistan establishment doesn not escape the blame for causing that anger.
Whether you agree or not (I realize it will take enormous character on your part to admit and agree with that), how do you come to conclude India needs a dictator of any kind? After all we have seen that concept having been tried repeatedly in Pakistan and that doesn't seem to have been a positive experience (Ayub, Yahya, Zia and Musharaf).
Quite frankly Math and Schience seem to serve us a lot better than any govt or politician. Even Bollywood, however banal their product may be, seem to have higher impact on Indians than the government.

Problem with educated Bharatis these days is simple. They are smack ignorant of their own history. They watch movie Gandhi, and hear few words in a rag, and become experts in “Hishtory” of Bharat.
J&K is a disputed territory even by the ultra right wingers of Bharat. Dragging J&K into Gujarat is simply insincere at best, and dishonest at its worst.
Even Bharatis admit they need benevolent dictatorship. They may not say it in public though! Bharati polticians are the most corrupt of the lot. Their corruption as practiced by Bal Ganga Dhar Tilak and every Congressi + RS$ite since then has destroyed Bharat and its neighbors. People jump up and down when Bharat makes puny $10 billons from software. Had they been honest and tolerant, Bharat would have been at $500 billion a year (ahead of China) instead of struggling with poverty and hate. An honest no nonsense dictator like Chinese can truly put Bharat in the top 3 spot in the world. Then you won’t be begging for the security council seat. The world will give it to you. Alas! Bharatis can’t understand this.
That’s the problem buddy. All that Math and all the “Schience” is zero without a system. Bharatis are quick to compare themselves with Pak. Therein lies the root of problem. China and not Pak is the true competitor of Bharat. You look at resources, number of people, and history. These two come very close, and yet China leaps forward to dominate the world, while Bharat squirms to dominate Pak. That my friend is all due to the $stupities of Bharati polticians and only a Chinese style dictatorship can fix Bharat.

Why would you think Pakistani incursions in J&K will not affect people in all other parts of India? Aren't you making the same fallacious miscalculation that your general made in 1971? It is perfectly simple if you have any understanding of Indians - they will fight amongst themselves and call each other names (gujju, mallu, bania whatever...) but the moment Pakistan tries something in one part, they will all gang up and beat the bejeepers out of you. Now mix religion into this and the next thing you know, you have a riot.
And that is precisely what the ISI wanted and got. Which is why I concluded that the blood of the victims in Godhra is in a large measure in Pakistani hands.
There is nothing insincere about mixing Kashmir with Godhra. If Pakistan had not been messing with Kashmir, those vitims of Godhra will still be alive.

Baboo! Seems like you have a good heart. You start your posts with Namaste and Salaam. Unfortunately your mind is filled with hate and very little sense of history.
Thousands of Muslims were butchered in a place called Garh Makteswar back in 1946. There was no Pakistan and no way of having any incursions into J&K (hint this was before partition).
That simply means one thing. Minority blood is really cheep in Bharat. It has been spilled before partition, during partition, and after partition. Blaming Kashmir for this is simply childish.

Why would I hate anything? No need for that.
By 1946 the claim for a separate state on the basis of the Muslim religion had become a well known and hotly conducted debate with significant speeches for/against by Muslim and non-Muslim leaders. Therefore while partitiona had not taken place, those Muslim leaders that stood for partition where very much active then.
So after 1947, Kashmir incursions have been causing Hindu-Muslim riots while before that, partition demands caused the same.
Therefore you have to come up with a different reason to defend any arguements to assert majority wants minority blood.
