I went to the bakery the other day…do you know what they did to solve the RAT problem?
They just made sure that nobody can film it again…simple aint it?
the glass window from which the Rats were visible…they just pasted stickers all over that glass…so that nobody can make video again…thats their response to this issue…
and people go on defending them without even looking at the video

Just answer one question , I am a baker , I worked hours to create those cake and then I will leave them out in the open where rats can feast on them . Does it make sense ? Rats will spoil my creation , will they not ? I will be out of business if I make cakes and feed them to rats instead of saving them to sell to customers. No ?

haha that is just messed up. Why don’t we have food/hygiene inspectors? These guys should be fined heavily for this. I suppose they just pay off the relevant people not to take any action.
anyway, a bakery is one of the business ideas I may be pursuing in the near future. I could take advantage of this and sell rat free cakes

Have you ever been to a Gourmet? I presume you haven't. They always leave everything out in their glass showcases. No baker worked hours to make these cakes, they all get made in their factory and are delivered out to branches.

you will do that if your are
'concious'/'concerned' about hygiene and safety......or
afraid to law enforcement.......
afraid that your customers will runaway
if someone has neither of these motivations to keep stuff clean they wouldn't.......which is the case with food industry in pakistan...

I am sure you guys are getting my point. The number of rats I saw in video they will mess up those cakes in minutes and the baker will have to make new ones to sell to customer , how can they afford to do that ?

There was nothing fake about the video. Gourmet use rat chefs like Ratatouille =D.
On a serious note, the video isn't fake, it has been recorded by someone after hours from outside the closed shutter of the bakery. It's not an attempt to malign Gourmet, it's just that this particular branch has a bad rat infestation and no one has done anything about it. There's no bakery 'guy' here, its a huge bakery chain. I'm sure this video hasn't had any effect on their sales. I have personally seen rats running behind the counter in KFC, anything is possible in Pakistan.

I'm pretty sure if the cake looked like it had been eaten by rats in the morning, the staff wouldn't try selling it to customers. Like I said they have a factory, I'm sure they can replenish stock whenever they need to.
