YEP! this is one advice i get from my father all the times but it's quite hard not to expect anything [good] from your beloved ones. It'll be great if we all worked like this but it's in our nature to expect good from those who we're emotionally attached to

because sometimes you don't expect and you get

so there's a ratio of 2/3 fo getting as compared to 1/3 of not getting
i hope you understand the probability of getting is more than getting not
it makes a ratio of 2:1
