most salons in toronto cost $200-$300 for a party makeup (which also included hairdo, threading, etc)…and if you spend the same amount of money on good make-up product, they will also cost you the same. in fact less money.
so is it better to get it done for 4-5 hrs or spend the same amount on good products and DIY it 20-15 times???

You may buy all the skin and hair products that you feel are essential for your party look......but do you have skills to apply them in a way that flatter your face? That's a difference to consider. Producs and skills are not the same thing. When you pay a professional...you're also paying for their skills.
I've never gone to a salon for party makeup. Even if I have to attend a wedding...I do the makeup by myself. I may, however, (depending upon my mood) go to the saloon for a haircut or mani/pedi.

Zobi, the products matter only a tiny bit.
Its actually the technique you pay money for...the skill and artistic ability of the MUA.
